How to use photo references step by step

Having troubles with drawing? Here's one way how to use my references and make your life one bit easier!

Step #1 - Download a photo reference

Download the most suitable photo reference from my huge database of more than 25 000 high quality photo references.

Step #2 - Modify the photo

Draw a concept of your character. Start with basic lines and shapes.

Step #3 - Do your magic

My photos can help you as a references for muscles, expressions, dynamic moves etc., but the magic of drawing is up to you.

Suggest a pose and I'll shoot it!

If you can't find the photo reference you need in my photo database (impossibru! :D ), you can always tell me what you need and I'll shoot the photo for you no problem :) You can suggest it to me via this form.

Soooo, how can I help you? ^^

Hi there Comic Reference fans!

I have to tell ya, that I am really happy about our community here on DeviantArt! I've noticed that most of you have used our references as a base for your artwork and came up with some badass pieces! But sometimes is quite difficult for me to dig DevArt and find what my followers did :)

So I came across this idea as I love to see more and more of your work! Yes, your! I'd like to see more of it!

Feel free to share with us (for example under this entry in comments) your work based on our references!

I'll pick the best ones and put them in our official website gallery plus I will reward you with some nasty package of exclusive photos

Deal is on till end of June!

Go for it!

Drawing Made Easy!

Wanna draw stuff like this?

It's easy!

You don't have to draw every part of human body on your own! Muscles, mimics, hand gestures, all of these are pretty hard to draw. But it's much easier using photo references!

Here are some sources of photo references of my own!
